I’ve always loved the idea of DJing: that moment when one song melts into the next and the whole room keeps moving. A while ago I even bought a Numark DJ controller, determined to finally learn. But between work and life, I never found the hours that beat-matching, keys and transitions really need. Eventually the controller sat in a corner gathering dust, and I sold it.
That stuck with me. So I built the tool I wished I’d had back then. You add your own songs, press one button, and Beatseam does the DJ part for you: it finds the beat and key, puts the songs in an order that flows, and blends them together.
While building it, I realised it’s not just for people like me who gave up on their DJ dream. Think of every birthday party, school disco, office party or fitness class where a DJ isn’t in the budget. They end up with a shuffled playlist, full of gaps and awkward jumps. My goal is simple: make it super easy for anyone to sound like a DJ.
