Hi everyone! 👋 I'm the solo developer behind BeatScale. This app started because I got frustrated with a simple task: scanning my driver's license for identity verification. Every app seemed to require a subscription, added watermarks, or expected me to upload sensitive documents to the cloud. Over the years I'd built a number of small utilities for myself PDF tools, image editing, unit conversions, network diagnostics, OCR and eventually realized they all belonged in one app. A few principles guided BeatScale from the beginning: • Process files on-device whenever possible. • No ads. • Let people try every premium feature before deciding to buy. • Offer a one-time purchase instead of another subscription. One technical detail I'm particularly proud of is the streaming document processing. Large files don't need to be fully loaded into memory, so the app can handle much bigger documents than you'd normally expect on a phone. This is only the first release.
