Most metronome apps share two small annoyances: you tap play and wait a whole beat before the first click, and when you want to play along with a song you have to guess its BPM, and even then you're half a beat off. BeatLock does three things differently: • Instant start: the first click lands right away. Every beat is scheduled at an absolute time on the audio clock, so it doesn't drift, even over a long session. • Listen: play a song, and in a few seconds BeatLock detects the tempo and where the beats fall, then takes over in time. If it isn't confident, it won't guess. • Nudge: shift the beat earlier or later while it plays. The BPM stays put. It also keeps a separate latency offset for the speaker, wired headphones and each Bluetooth pair, and sends the beat grid to your Apple Watch so your wrist taps along.
