Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Bargaining Chip was born out of real wedding planning conversations with friends. We kept running into the same issue—there’s no clear way to know if you’re overpaying for a venue, caterer, or vendor. Pricing is inconsistent, and unless someone close to you has used a specific vendor, you're left guessing or relying on generic reviews that don’t mention actual costs. I wanted to change that. Bargaining Chip is a space where couples can anonymously share what they paid, what they negotiated, and what they learned—so others can plan smarter and avoid the same mistakes. What makes it different is the focus on pricing transparency and negotiation insights, not just inspiration boards or checklists. It’s like Glassdoor, but for weddings—real data from real people, powering more informed decisions. I built this during my first-ever hackathon organized by bolt.new and while it didn’t win, I’m really proud of what came out of it.
