Upload a bank statement PDF — digital or scanned — and get clean Excel, CSV or JSON in seconds. Every row is checked against the running balance and printed totals, so you know what's proven. New layouts are learned automatically. REST API + 50 free pages/month.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Yavuz, the maker of Bank Statement Parser.
The problem: Anyone who works with bank statements knows this pain. Accountants, bookkeepers, lenders, finance teams and developers building fintech products all hit it. Statements arrive as PDFs, every bank uses a different layout, and some are scanned images. Copy-pasting into Excel takes hours.
Most converters "work" until they silently drop a row, merge two descriptions or flip a sign. You only find out when the books don't balance.
What we built: you upload a statement PDF and get every transaction in clean columns: date, description, amount, balance and reference. You can download it as Excel, CSV or JSON.
What makes it different:
✅ Every row is verified, not just extracted. Each transaction is checked against the statement's own running balance. The whole statement is then reconciled: opening balance + transactions = closing balance, and debit/credit totals must match the printed totals. Each row carries a verified flag and each file gets a confidence score. If something can't be proven, we flag it instead of hiding it.
🧠 No templates, no fixed bank list. Layouts we've seen before extract instantly. A new layout is analysed and learned automatically, and every later statement in that format is fast.
📄 Digital and scanned PDFs. Text PDFs are read directly. Scanned or photographed statements go through our OCR engines.
🌍 Any number format. Amounts and dates are kept exactly as printed (1.234,56 or 1,234.56), so nothing gets mangled in conversion.
⚙️ Built for developers too.
One POST request returns structured JSON.
API keys, an async queue for large files, and webhooks when processing finishes.
Open-source examples in curl, Python, Node and PHP are on GitHub.
📚 70+ bank guides for banks in India, Pakistan, Africa, the UK, the US, Europe and Turkey.
🔒 Your files are never used to train models.
Pricing: 50 pages every month free, no credit card needed. Paid plans start at $25/mo for 500 pages, and yearly plans save 20%. You can try the live demo without an account; it converts the first 2 pages.
I'd love your feedback, especially:
Did a statement from your bank come out wrong? Tell me and I'll dig in.
Which export format or integration should we add next?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
