Every family has the argument. Who gets the front seat? Who's stuck in the middle? Bagsie solves it. You add your family, your cars, and your passengers - and Bagsie assigns seats fairly, every time. It tracks who has sat where over time and uses weighted randomisation to balance things out across trips, so nobody always loses out. No more negotiating. No more "it's not fair." Just tap, assign, and go. Free for families getting started. Premium unlocks unlimited features across the app.

Hey Product Hunt! Maker here.
Bagsie started as a genuine annoyance in my own family. Every time we got in the car, the same argument kicked off about who was sitting where. I'm a new developer, so naturally I thought - there has to be a better way.
The core idea is simple: track seat history across trips and use weighted randomisation to keep things fair over time. The person who always ends up in the middle gets prioritised for a better seat next time. It all happens automatically.
It's live on the App Store now, Android is on the way, and I'm actively building based on real family feedback. Would love to hear what you think - happy to answer any questions below!

How does the weighted randomisation actually work when one kid is way older or gets carsick more often, can you give certain passengers a priority override or is it strictly equal across the board?

@cetin11914 There are currently no accommodations for this. I would expect that if this is needed, I can build it in. Adults added as admins get premium seating by default, so it wouldn’t be too hard. However, I would suggest you manually seat passengers if it will be an issue, the use the app on occasions when it may not be an issue. Thanks for your feedback.

genuinely love that weighted randomisation angle, it turns a tiny daily annoyance into something the app can actually fix rather than just shrug at. smart little product.

@arzuyarwhgl Family members with phones can join the app, and see the seating allocation and history from their devices too, so no arguing or trust issues!

Finally a tool for my chaotic minivan life. The weighted randomisation actually seems fair - my youngest stopped complaining about middle seat on day two.
