Bag List is a product recommendation engine. A solution to irrelevant Google search results. No more sifting through listicles, stores, and reviews. • Get personalized recommendations • Filter hundreds of top products by specific features • Save your wish list
Wonderful idea great execution Only problem is the error message"Don't have enough bag for this filter" :) ( I am looking for a multi pocket, variable colourful bag, which can be hand luggage)
Hello and thank you for checking out Bag List! The seeds of this project were hours of personal product research and a detailed spreadsheet of product specs. As a bag designer, and e-com entrepreneur, bag recommendations are something my friends come to me with all the time. It felt intuitive to share everything in one place.
Since Google search is lacking for precise product discovery, more and more sites like this are cropping up, which is exciting! Knife Geek is one i came across on Hacker News. It's a fun time to be in e-com.
Of course the recommendation algorithm is still improving - please try it! Currently, the product assortment heavily indexes on Backpacks for Work, with more products being added weekly. Many of the product links are affiliate links but, the primary reason is to track the quality of recommendations. (Commissions are tiny and revenue is not the goal.) Thanks again for checking this out!
Looking for bags right now so this looks pretty useful, thanks for sharing. My only suggestion would be to move the buy button up to where the 'add to wishlist' one is too, as it took me a little while to find.
@liammckay Thanks for checking us out and the kind words. I can see how that would be a more intuitive placement for the button, thanks!

Hi Val 😊
I don't know how feasible it could be but it's a problem I struggle with, is the comfort for people who have sensitive lower back. I bought 3 different bags of different shapes that I don't use anymore because I would end up with pain in the lower back.
Congrats on the launch 👏
@laila_elh Laila! This is great insight. You'd be surprised how many people have fit and comfort issues with something that seems so straightforward, like a backpack. I will DM you with some more questions about bag design... :) Often, products designed for outliers end up leading to better usability for everyone.
@esther_olanma_shedrach Hi Esther! Thanks for your question :) Currently, it is just for bags (specifically work backpacks and soon, all kinds of bags).
In the long term, the database and filtering model could be extended into other hard-to-sort product categories like JEANS, for example.
