Estimate blood alcohol concentration with a medically cautious BAC calculator and explore 113 evidence-informed guides on alcohol, health, testing, medications and driving laws.
Hi Product Hunt!
I built BACwise because I wanted to create a simple, practical and easy-to-understand resource for people who want to estimate their blood alcohol concentration and better understand how alcohol affects the body.
Many BAC calculators online are very basic, difficult to use, or provide a number without enough context. My goal with BACwise was to go further and combine a free BAC calculator with country-specific information, alcohol safety tools, unit converters and evidence-based educational content in one place.
BACwise has gradually evolved from a single calculator into a broader alcohol safety toolkit, with multiple interactive tools and more than 100 educational articles covering BAC, alcohol metabolism, driving limits, medications, health effects and responsible alcohol use.
As a medical doctor, I also wanted the health information to be understandable to non-medical readers while clearly emphasizing that BAC calculations are estimates and should never be used to decide whether it is safe to drive.
BACwise is completely free to use and does not require registration.
I’d really appreciate your feedback — especially on the calculator, usability, additional countries you would like supported, and any new tools you think would make BACwise more useful.
Thanks for checking it out!
