How do you actually rank the picks when reviews and spec sheets can say pretty different things about the same stroller, especially for niche setups like tiny elevators?
Fair question, and honestly, we don't have our process refined to reconcile every conflicting review yet.
BabyPickr is a curated catalog, not a scrape of Amazon. I manually flag things like apartment-friendly based on weight, fold type, and how parents actually use them in tight spaces. When you pick city apartment in the journey, anything not flagged that way gets filtered out before you even see a ranking.
From what's left, we bump products that match your situation (lighter, compact fold, one-hand fold for walk-ups, etc.) and use a trust score so a 4.9 with 12 reviews doesn't beat something with thousands of real parent reviews.
Where reviews and specs disagree, we don't auto-resolve it. We try to call out the tradeoffs in the "not ideal for" line on each card. Elevators are a good example: we can flag strollers that are generally apartment-friendly, but we can't know your building's exact elevator size. I'd still measure folded width against your doorway once you have a short list.
Still early and I'm sure we get things wrong sometimes. If something ranks oddly for your setup, I'd genuinely want to hear it.
