Good idea. Love the convenience of a nespreso for any formula when mothers milk is not available. The problem is that their value equation is broken. At $39 (minimum) for 6 feedings, it gets unnecessarily expensive soon (8 feedings for a new born per day will set you back $1,560 on the first month on formula alone). The current best alternative is ready to feed formula that requires no mixing, heating up or anything costs around $1 to $1.2 per feeding - you do the math...)

On the one hand, I want to say this is cool and i can imagine (no kids yet) that this could be useful for parents that don't know what their doing or are super busy, or ??? On the other hand, i'm started to get scared (re: terrified) of what this world is turning into. What's wrong with off the shelf baby formula? Or moms milk? (I know, they recommend breast feeding on the website). Was fine for me and millions / billions of other people before IFT. (And I get that this is Product Hunt and this is a new product) It's one thing to build something because its needed. It's a whole other thing to do it just because you can and people will blow money on it. What's next? A machine to tell parents how much exercise their child needs? Or should we just jump right to robots that play with and educate our children for us.

@mario_a_giambanco Also not a parent, and a mother's milk seems like the perfect food when the mother is able, but why not have a smarter solution to formula? Especially with a busy single parent, or 2 busy parents, being able to monitor and track the baby's food to have reassurance that the baby is getting the proper amount sounds like a good thing. Will this be for everyone? I don't think so. Could it be for parents that are willing to pay a little more for this type of device which brings with it some additional convenience, reminders, information? I would think so.
I'm a father of two. I wouldn't pay a dime for this machine. Not only is the value equation completely out of whack, but I see no indication that the pods are reusable or recyclable. Yay landfills! Also, you can't measure intake by measuring how much food you made. You measure intake by how much of the bottle the baby drinks. BabyNes doesn't help with that as all bottles already have measurement lines on the side. And then I have a major problem with the nutrition levels being promoted. Formula for babies after 10 months is, unless your child has an allergy or other medical problem, completely unnecessary. You can switch to milk then.
