An Apify Actor that checks how AI assistants answer when buyers ask about your category. It puts your questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, then reports whether your brand was named, how early, whether your site was cited, which rivals appeared and how favourably you were described. Questions are built from the keywords your domain already ranks for. No API keys. Pay per check, set a spending cap, or run it as an MCP tool inside any agent.
Hello Product Hunt.
We build Babel42, an AI search visibility tool. People kept asking for the measurement part on its own, inside their own stack, so we packaged it as an Apify Actor.
Give it a brand, a domain and a category. It puts buying questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and returns one row per brand, question and assistant: whether you were named, how early, whether your own page was cited, which rivals came up alongside you, what the assistant actually said, and whether it searched the web or answered from memory.
Two things we cared about while building it.
First, the questions are not guessed. It looks up the keywords your domain already ranks for in Google's top 30, with the monthly search volume behind each one, and builds the question set from the highest volume terms. Every row carries the seed keyword, so any number traces back to real demand. You can still write your own questions if you prefer.
Second, the cost is predictable. It is priced per check, a free dry run shows you the exact question set and what it will cost before anything is spent, and you can set a maximum spend that stops the run.
No API keys to bring and no second AI bill. It also works as an MCP tool in any agent through a single URL, so you can ask Claude or Cursor to run a check inside a conversation.
Happy to answer anything, and I would like to hear which questions you would want it to ask for your own category.
