the layered combo actually works—rich and slightly caramelized on the bottom, airy and light on top. nice balance if you usually find basque cheesecake too heavy on its own.
Would love to see a smaller single-serve size option for those who want to try it without committing to the full cheesecake. Perfect for office treats or solo indulgence, and it would make a nice entry point for first-time buyers curious about the two-layer concept.
The two layers really do work together, the dense basque bottom balances the airy soufflé top so each bite feels different. Ordering from Kumamoto was easy and the frozen delivery kept it tasting fresh.
honestly the combo of the dense basque layer and the airy souffle on top works really well, like two textures in one bite. the frozen delivery also held up nicely when i thawed it overnight.
