Preventing injuries by identifying risks through DNA testing

AxGen was founded on the premise of using cutting edge genetic research to keep athletes healthy and performing. Our product identifies increased risk for specific sports injuries like ankle sprains, then provides a training plan to mitigate these risks.

Hi Product Hunters, We launched AxGen on the back of our genetic research conducted over the past several years. The recent availability of huge data sets (eg. 500,000 medical records + genotype data from UK Biobank), have made these kinds of discoveries possible for the first time, and we are the first and only company to be conducting Genome-Wide Association Studies with this data specifically looking for musculoskeletal injuries. What this means is that athletes (professional & amateur) can now know their injury predisposition Our founders are a combination of geneticists and former professional athletes, and we're on a mission to reduce the rate of musculoskeletal injuries in the US. We also want to contribute to the push of medicine and healthcare away from strictly "putting out fires" and incentivizing more preventative options. Our flagship product is a DNA test which tells you your level of risk for 7 common types of sports injury (eg. ankle sprain, rotator cuff tear), as well as your genetic baseline levels for various performance and nutrition markers (eg. testosterone & Vitamin B12 levels). Alongside this information, we provide you with research-proven exercises, training, and nutrition plans that are proven to mitigate these genetic risks. We believe that healthy athletes are happy athletes - at any level - and our mission is to make sports injury-free for anyone from amateur to professional. We currently retail at $150, and offer add on services of genetic consultations and additional tailor-made strength programs. Please check us out and let us know what you think!
