Web-based news reader that organizes articles by user-defined topics using advanced (or simple) keyword filters, with relevance, customizable email notifications and shareable projects, plus notes, bookmarks and search. For now only RSS sources are supported.
Hi Product Hunters and fellow Makers!
Avogadro One is a news aggregator that strives to reduce irrelevant content in your newsfeed and provides useful productivity tools. It sorts incoming articles into user-defined projects (essentially topics), and the sorting is done by applying search-like keyword filters. Relevance labels allow training the app to further filter out noise. Email notifications can be enabled on a per-project basis, and the time/interval of notifications can be customized.
Right now we support only RSS feeds, but other sources are on the roadmap (Elon basically killed Twitter API connectivity, but we're looking into alternatives). There is support for fetching full articles if the feed shows only snippets (but it has to be requested manually for now), and you can bookmark articles and add notes.
The app is mainly for those who like to sort news into 'folders' and follow many such topics, but it can also be used as a simple RSS reader.
I hope you like it. We're looking for feedback and bug reports (ideally from the contact form inside the app), but please be gentle :) . I had to learn a couple of programming languages and paradigms for this (professional developers started the development but I contributed too, and I don't have IT background).
