Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sukrit. I built Aviary alone over the last 3 months.
I tried YNAB and every expense tracker in India. YNAB couldn't see my banks and cost more than my phone bill. The local apps wanted to read my SMS and showed me ads for credit cards. I wanted the envelope method with none of that, and a way to keep logging when life gets busy.
So Aviary never touches your bank. It learns your routine instead and nudges you at the times you usually spend, so logging is one tap. When I miss a week, I type what I remember in one line ("uber 12, lunch 15") or upload a statement and tick what to keep.
What's in it today: envelope budgeting, nudges, bill scanning, recurring expenses, shared budgets for couples and flatmates, a chat you can ask about your month, a yearly Wrapped, and one-upload import from YNAB, Goodbudget, Money Manager, Monefy, Wallet, Spendee and axio.
What's not: iOS (waitlist on the site), bank sync (on purpose).
Both repos are open source under AGPL. Free for 30 days with no card. PH folks get 3 months of Pro on top: comment "PH" and I'll sort it.
What I'd love to hear: does the nudge idea land for you, or is it annoying? Be honest, I read every comment.
