Autoplans automates sprint planning for Jira teams. It analyzes your backlog, team capacity, story points, and historical velocity to generate optimized sprint plans in seconds. Instead of manually dragging tickets between sprints and guessing capacity, Autoplans creates balanced sprint plans that reflect your team’s real workload. It syncs directly with Jira so teams can plan faster, reduce planning overhead, and focus more on delivering work rather than managing boards and spreadsheets.

Hi everyone, I’m Dean, the creator of Autoplans.
I built Autoplans after seeing how much time teams spend manually planning sprints in Jira. Moving tickets around, checking team capacity, and balancing story points can take a surprising amount of effort.
Replanning is even worse. When priorities change, teams often have to move multiple stories, shift work across sprints, and push epic-related tickets forward manually. It quickly becomes messy and time-consuming.
Autoplans automates this process. It analyzes your backlog, team capacity, story points, and historical velocity to generate optimized sprint plans in seconds and then syncs everything to JIRA when you are ready.
It also makes it easier to:
*rebalance work when plans change
*move epic stories across sprints automatically
*see what work a team can realistically take on
*give stakeholders a clearer picture of when epics might complete
The goal is simple: reduce the planning overhead so teams can spend more time building.
I’m launching today to get feedback from teams running Jira-based planning. I’d love to hear:
• How long sprint planning typically takes your team
• What makes replanning painful
• What features you’d want in a tool like this
Thanks for checking out Autoplans — happy to answer any questions.
To celebrate the launch, I'm offering 50% off Autoplans Pro for 3 months for the Product Hunt community.

Another big pain point I’ve seen is replanning.
When priorities change or a story slips, teams often need to move multiple stories across sprints and keep epics aligned. That can quickly turn into a lot of manual work.
How do teams here usually deal with that? Do you just move stories manually in Jira?

One of the problems Autoplans tries to solve is capacity visibility across teams.
When planning several sprints ahead, it’s surprisingly difficult to see which team actually has capacity in which sprint without doing a lot of manual checks.
Curious if others run into the same issue when planning multiple sprints ahead.

Hi All,
I’ve been trying it out and it actually helps reduce a lot of the manual effort we usually spend organizing work for the team. It’s simple to use and gives a clearer view of how things can be planned without overcomplicating the process. Definitely feels like something that can save time in day-to-day team work.
