Hi PH Community! Pictures of protests are important for raising awareness about a movement. However, recent protests and online discussions have highlighted privacy issues for those exercising first amendment rights. Many on social media have cautioned that pictures can be used to identify protestors. There have been examples of people being identified not just by their face, but also by images of their body, clothing items, tattoos, and accessories. Our solution was to provide people with an easy-to-use, AI-powered tool to automatically anonymize and mask people-identifying features from pictures. To ensure privacy and security, no images ever leave your computer. Image processing happens 100% locally in your browser on your device, so nothing is sent over the internet to our servers and nothing is ever saved by the tool. We hope that by making this step of imaging process easier to use with the help of AI, we can encourage people to keep their fellow protestors safe on social media. Current Features: * Easy-to-use, one-click image processing * In-browser processing, i.e. image never leave your device * Three different masking modes: blur, pixelate, and opaque * Customizable resolution and mask intensity * Wipes image metadata to maintain privacy * It's free Future Plans: * Support videos * Support granular individual / body-part selection * Potentially make a native mobile app? * Additional effects customization Help protect the privacy and identity of others in your photos! Hope this tool is useful for you. Thank you!

@lawrencechen98 Congratulations for building this product for a noble cause. What more use cases are you able to identify for this tool?

@rahulvats Thank you! We have plans to add more flexibility in how the masks are applied by the tool, such as body-part selection or individual selection. These features could make the tool useful in any situation in which anonymity might be important, such as for news outlets who want to easily blur out background individuals or for teachers who want to maintain the privacy of young students' faces.
