Hey everyone! Hacking together something has always been in my blood. It started when I founded, Untappd, back in early 2010 and then various of other projects through the years. I've always been a fan of trying to tinker with a problem and try it solve it through technology. Last weekend, I was jamming out to my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist and really digging the music. However, the playlist updates every week, and erases the old songs for new ones. I forgot about this and lost those songs and had to wade through my recently played list to find them again. I wanted an easier, more automated way of saving my favorites to a persistent playlist. 💪 With this problem, I hacked together a solution called "Best of Discover Weekly". With this app, it automatically listens to your Spotify play history, and finds songs that you listen to via the Discover Weekly playlist, and based on your preferences, adds them to a persistent playlist to listen in the future. You can also see analytics on our listening habits with Discover Weekly, and share with your friends. 🥳 🎹 This was a pretty fun project to learn something new and explore new APIs to solve a problem.
