Hey Product Hunt π
I'm Mallory Tran, the maker behind AudioTranscription.io.
Why I built this?
I spent years in content and media, and the transcription workflow was always broken:
β Freelance transcribers took 2-3 days and cost $1+/minute
β Enterprise tools required accounts, credit cards, and onboarding calls
β Open-source Whisper was accurate but needed dev setup and GPU time
I wanted something that just works. Upload β Download. That's it.
What makes this different?
1. Built for real speech - Our model was trained and fine-tuned on actual conversations β meetings with multiple speakers, podcasts with crosstalk, interviews with heavy accents. The 98.5% accuracy number isn't from a clean audiobook test set; it's from the messy, beautiful way people actually talk.
2. Privacy-first by design - Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, processed in-memory, and deleted immediately after transcription. No training on your data. No third-party sharing. Period.
I'd love your feedback on:
β What's the first thing you'd use this for?
β‘ What's missing that would make you switch from your current tool?
β’ How's the accuracy on your test file?

PS β If you're a journalist, podcaster, or creator, DM me. I'd love to set up a call and learn about your transcription workflow.

One thing that would make this way more useful for me is letting you export the transcript with speaker labels and timestamps directly to a Word or Google Doc template, instead of just plain text or SRT. Would save a ton of cleanup time when prepping interview notes.

honestly the summary feature saved me like an hour on a podcast episode, super clean output and the speaker labels were surprisingly accurate for once
