pointed my camera at a random canvas at a local gallery and it actually pulled the artist's name and medium, which was kind of wild. the first witness thing feels like a really thoughtful way to lock in provenance before anything gets murky.
Love the First Witness idea, would be great if Atelier could also let users upload a short voice note describing the work right after snapping the photo. Sometimes the story of a piece comes through better spoken than typed, especially while hands are covered in paint.
