Hi everyone! I’m the maker of ATRA.
I built this tool because I was frustrated. For years, my trading routine was a mess: I’d spend hours drawing Support & Resistance lines, but I never really knew if those levels were profitable. To find out, I either had to manually trade based on historical data or write a custom Python script from scratch.
I wanted the ease of a chat interface but the power of a quant script. So, I built ATRA to bridge that gap.
Under the hood: It’s a text-to-code engine. When you type "Backtest a breakout on these levels," the AI isn't just hallucinating an answer—it actually writes and executes a Python simulation on real historical data in the background, then plots the result.
It started as a personal tool to speed up my strategy developments, but realized it might help other traders who are stuck in the same boat.
