AstroBaaS puts content, media, an admin, and a REST API in one self-hosted Node process. Build the frontend in Astro, Next.js, or another stack while managing posts, pages, custom content types, and optional commerce. A typed SDK, CLI, OpenAPI spec, scoped API keys, webhooks, and an MCP server let developers and AI agents work with the same data. The GPL-3.0 core is open source. This pre-alpha release has no independent security audit, and payment integrations still need live sandbox testing.

the interesting bit here is giving a coding agent the same scoped content API a developer gets, without needing a second CMS to host. it's still pre-alpha, so i'd start with a small non-payment site. curious how the one-process setup holds up as people add custom content types.
