I'm a Digital Technical Officer at NCAD and former assistive technology technician. I built AssisT because students who didn't get early support often arrive at third level already behind, and the tools that exist are either expensive, clunky, or locked behind institutional licences. AssisT is free, installs in under a minute, and works directly inside Canvas, Moodle, and Google Classroom — no IT department needed. Running locally by default — no accounts, no data sharing.
