Hello People. I built Ashes out of a very personal need - I was tired of opening new tabs and mindlessly slipping into distractions. I wanted each new tab to feel like a pause, a breath, a reminder that time is slipping - and that I’m still here. There are plenty of productivity tools out there, but Ashes isn’t about doing more - it’s about being more present. It replaces your new tab with a minimalist mortality countdown. A soft nudge toward intentional living, not just better task management. What makes Ashes unique? It’s private by design — no tracking, no data collection. It runs offline, feels calming, and is fully theme-customizable. It's built for both performance & presence. What I’m most proud of is the feeling people get when they use it. If Ashes helps even one person pause, reflect, and choose to live more deliberately… It’s worth it.
