Hey Product Hunt, I built Asciilator as a small browser-based studio for creating ASCII visuals from videos and images. The idea started as a simple ASCII video experiment and slowly turned into a full editor with aspect ratios, frame controls, typography, matte overlays, color modes, effects, image export, and video export. It is useful for: - music visuals - social media posts - retro/futuristic video loops - ASCII posters - experimental web graphics - quick creative exports without a full video editor The app runs in the browser, and media processing happens locally. Would love feedback on the workflow, export quality, and what formats or effects would make it more useful.

A batch processing mode would be huge, being able to drop a folder of clips and apply the same ASCII settings across all of them before exporting would save a ton of time for anyone working on longer edits.

The browser-only approach is a nice touch, no waiting on uploads or installs. Played around with a short clip and the live ASCII preview felt snappy.
