Artnap puts the open access collections of the Met, the Rijksmuseum, the Art Institute of Chicago and 65 other museums in one search. Every work keeps the museum's own record and licence. A Chrome extension shows one painting in each new tab.

I registered artnap.com on 3 October, and I can't code. Three Claude Code agents built the site while I answered their questions from my phone.
I had used museum open access images for years and kept wishing I could search all of them in one place. Artnap now holds 353,928 works from 68 museums. Each page keeps the museum's description, the licence and a credit line you can copy. If the artist died after 1955, the work isn't on the site.
Standard images need no account. Pro costs $9.99 a month, or $7.99 a month on the yearly plan, and gives you the museum's master file. For Monet's Water Lilies at the Art Institute of Chicago that file is 8,808 pixels wide.
I use Infinite View most. It's a wall of paintings that keeps going as you scroll. The Chrome extension puts one wide painting in every new tab.
Until 15 November, the code PRODUCTHUNT20 takes 20% off the yearly plan, and PRODUCTHUNT10 takes 10% off your first three months on the monthly one.
What would you search for first?
