What inspired the creation of aroSteward? aroSteward was born from our deep SAP consulting and advisory experience, where we consistently observed a recurring challenge — enterprises struggled to maintain high-quality, consistent, and trusted master data across their SAP and non-SAP landscapes. Despite significant digital investments, fragmented data, duplication, and lack of governance often undermined transformation goals. This insight inspired us to create aroSteward — a solution designed to simplify, automate, and strengthen enterprise data stewardship within the SAP ecosystem. What problem is it solving? aroSteward addresses the critical issue of *data trust and governance*. It resolves challenges such as inconsistent master data, lack of accountability in approval workflows, and disconnected processes across business units. By establishing a single source of truth and embedding governance controls directly into SAP environments, aroSteward ensures accurate, auditable, and business-ready data — driving efficiency, compliance, and confident decision-making. How did the process and approach evolve during its launch? The journey began with deep client workshops and real-world process mapping to understand data pain points from both IT and business perspectives. We adopted a co-innovation model — combining SAP best practices with agile product development. Over time, aroSteward evolved from a simple data validation utility into a comprehensive data governance platform with configurable workflows, automation, analytics, and seamless integration with SAP MDG, ERP, and S/4HANA. This iterative, feedback-driven approach ensured that aroSteward not only met enterprise-grade requirements but also remained intuitive for business users — bridging the gap between technology and governance excellence.
