APY7

Store all personal data and files protected in one location

With APY7 you can create a vault to store all your data and files with military-grade encryption in one place. Regardless of whether the data is sensitive or not, each data record is stored individually, using one of thousands of passwords. These passwords are protected by the master password, which must be carefully chosen to make unauthorized access to your data virtually impossible. Cloud backup is optional and allows you to synchronize encrypted data between different devices.

When starting with this project time ago, we were looking for a software solution that allows collecting all types of data in one place and in a completely secure manner. Most applications that claim secure data storage store data in database files that must be completely decrypted before data can be read or written. Only after the work is complete is the database encrypted again. The file remains exposed and vulnerable while reading and processing data. Therefore, APT7 was developed based on a new back-end principle: the storage file (vault) should remain permanently encrypted, and only the requested data record should be decrypted and displayed. New or modified data are encrypted before being written to the file. All data processing takes place in volatile memory (RAM); only encrypted data is sent to hardware memory. Internally, the storage file keeps tens of thousands of keywords. Each data record (e.g., an address) is individually encrypted with one of these keywords before being stored in the vault file. These keywords are protected by the user's master password, which must be chosen thoroughly to ensure maximum security. It's important to memorize it carefully, because, to secure against any unauthorized access, it isn't stored anywhere and there's no backdoor to recover it. The user interacts with various front-end modules to enter, organize, sort, and read a wide variety of data. These include calendar entries, notes and text files, addresses, sensitive data such as bank accounts or passwords, and accounting for income and expenses. Files up to 30 MB can also be securely encrypted. Potential users can be anyone who wants to collect and store their personal data in a single, secure location. This data can be of any kind: highly sensitive or rather trivial data that the user simply wants to keep in one place in memory. Sensitive data will be marked as such and can be hidden from the screen at the touch of a button. Professional users may focus on individual modules, like office data or bookkeeping. To make the software accessible to a wider audience, the application was made available in over 30 languages. Depending on type of license the storage file can be accessed by a single user (PLUS) or by multiple users (PRO). With the BASIC license, the number of data entries is limited in some modules. The file containing the data is located on the same device as the app. However, we wanted to be able to use our data on different devices and synchronize it between them. This required the development of a cloud exchange mechanism in which only new or changed data records are transferred to and from the cloud server, rather than the entire file. Only encrypted data are transmitted securely. This cloud backup/synchronization feature is an optional feature available to the user. We are currently developing versions for Mac, iOS, and Android, as well as fine-tuning features and design. Since we are constantly committed to improving and extending the application, we welcome any feedback, ideas and critical comments.
