I built Xcode Localizer because I kept running into the same, time-wasting pain every time a project needed to go global. Manually hunting through .strings files, copy-pasting text into spreadsheets, and chasing down half-translated menus was turning what should have been a creative process into a grind. I wanted a tool that felt as native and friction-free as Xcode itself—a single tap that would handle the busywork so developers (myself included) could get back to writing great features. In short, Xcode Localizer exists to remove that localization bottleneck: to give indie developers and teams an effortless, accurate, Mac-native way to see exactly where translations stand, fill in every gap instantly, and keep strings fresh with one click. By automating the drudgery, it lets us ship polished, truly global apps faster—and spend our time on the parts of development that actually spark joy.
