Apidoke is a self-hosted platform for writing, previewing, and publishing interactive API documentation with a built-in try-it console. Built on the open API Blueprint standard. Free to start.
Self-hosted is a nice touch for teams with compliance needs. One thing that would make it way more useful for me: a way to lock the try-it console behind an auth token or session, so internal docs aren't exposed to anyone who finds the URL.
the built-in try-it console actually works without me wiring up a separate sandbox, which is honestly the part i usually dread. being able to drop a markdown file and get something polished back feels pretty close to cheating.
The built-in try-it console right inside the docs is such a thoughtful touch, makes exploring endpoints feel way smoother than juggling separate tools.
