I’m Spencer, a solo developer and sim racing enthusiast.
I built ApexState because I had a specific frustration: In endurance races (like in Assetto Corsa Competizione or iRacing), your car feels completely different on Lap 1 vs. Lap 30.
As tires wear down and fuel burns off, your braking points change. If you brake at the same spot on Lap 30 as you did on Lap 1, you end up in the gravel.
The Problem: Existing tools were either complex Excel spreadsheets or heavy background apps that lowered my frame rate.
The Solution: I built a lightweight web app that acts as a "Digital Race Engineer."
Under the Hood:
- Frontend: React + Framer Motion for a smooth, dashboard-like UI.
- Backend: Python/FastAPI calculating vector math for the track maps.
Data: It visualizes the "Tire Cliff", telling you exactly when your tires will drop off and how many meters you need to adjust your braking by.
It is completely free to use (no login required for the core features).
