Hey PH - I'm Damian, and I built Apéro Pro because every time I hosted something back in Paris, the coordination was a pain and sometimes a disaster. Everyone asked the same question in the same WhatsApp thread and nobody read the replies. We'd end up with six bottles of wine, some bread and one olive spread for 8 people.
I wanted something guests could join from a link - no sign-up, no friction - and that gave the host an actual overview rather than a chat thread to scroll through.
It started as a side project while I was doing logistics work in aerospace. I've been building it across three countries over the past month and launched it publicly last week, right before moving to China.
