The idea first came to me when I was hanging out with a friend at a coffee shop. We noticed a group of people nearby, and in that group, there was a guy who didn’t have a girlfriend. We joked and suggested he talk to a girl sitting at the next table. But we were all too shy 😄 — even after a few months, he still couldn’t start a conversation. That got me thinking — maybe we could build something, like a web app, to help people connect with others nearby. Something simple, with a “nearby” feature. That’s how the idea started. I discussed it with friends and wondered if it could be built on a low budget. I talked to a few developers — they said it was possible, but none of them wanted to code it. I realized that if I didn’t take action, the idea would just fade away. So I decided to build it myself using ChatGPT. I shared the idea here, and ChatGPT suggested using React and Firebase. I went to YouTube, learned the basics of React, and luckily I already understood some CSS. I used ChatGPT to help fix my code and committed everything to GitHub — at least 10 times so far. I didn’t have a developer — I did it all myself. Now, you can visit anoapp.com, see who else is online, and chat with people accessing the same URL.
