ANKITA turns your Windows desktop into an AI workspace. Delegate to subagents and follow their progress, tool calls and results. Work with files and code, control the browser and desktop, connect MCP tools and plugins, and keep projects, memory and scheduled tasks together. Use your ChatGPT account or choose another provider. Includes a floating companion, reusable skills and a terminal CLI. Free and open source; provider costs and limits apply.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Krish, maker of ANKITA.
ANKITA is a free, open-source Windows AI workspace for people who build, research and automate work on their computer. It brings a small team of AI teammates, a floating desktop companion and real tools into one place.
What makes it special:
• Subagents you can follow: delegate focused tasks to an explorer, reviewer or worker. A live side panel shows output, progress, elapsed time, token use and tool calls, with a switcher for multiple agents and controls to stop owned work.
• Hands-on tools: read and edit files, review diffs, run commands and background processes, use Git, research webpages, and work with browser and Windows desktop controls. Tool activity and approval requests stay visible.
• Your models, your choice: use an existing ChatGPT conversation through the browser connection, GitHub Copilot, Groq, Kilo or an OpenAI-compatible provider. Your provider's availability, account limits and charges still apply.
• An expandable toolset: connect MCP servers and app integrations through Composio. Add reusable skills, discover them in the command palette, and use searchable slash commands for common actions.
• Projects that remember the work: keep working folders, tasks, notes, decisions and project context together, alongside separate personal memory. Recent project updates can maintain a work log and open todos.
• Work that comes back to you: schedule recurring tasks, monitor background jobs, inspect results and stop runs. Telegram can connect to a selected teammate; the terminal CLI also supports voice with optional local audio setup.
• A companion that stays close: quick conversations, approvals and live tool activity in the floating island. Drop supported files onto a mascot to prepare an attachment, or use the separate browser helper to capture webpage text.
• More ways to create and stay in control: image generation with a configured provider, saved sessions, work review, file-tool undo backups and an audit trail. Permissions and provider/integration data policies still matter.
