I first visited the United States of America in May 2016, when I was 30 years old. But in another sense, I had been there before many times… in my imagination.
When I was a kid—long before I could even operate a car—I’d picture myself driving through the vast stretches of American land. Eyes closed, I’d absorb it mile by beautiful mile—keeping inventory of everything I saw along the way.
Many years have passed before I turned those dreams into reality. Hours and days I spent driving from one ocean to another have changed my life. In 2021 I left the country taking with me the priceless memories, experiences and discoveries from my five years on the road.
I miss it deeply, but I’ve found a really special way to stay in touch. Today I'm sharing a tool for resurrection of those memories, a microscope for ethnographic explorations, and a fun website that can take you on a virtual trip across the United States of America.
