Hey Product Hunters! We've made this new thing called amalytics, based on the encouraging feedback gathered from a niche spreadsheet posted here previously. šŸ¤” Problem A couple of years back, I was looking to sell a new product on Amazon. I found the older product research tools useful for wholesalers who compete on a listing - providing listing-level metrics rather than telling me if I should create a new similar product in this area. As of 2021, the only way for new Amazon sellers to make money is to create a net-new product and for that, you must analyse a whole niche. šŸ›  Solution amalytics grabs Amazon data for millions of products and analyses it at a niche level so that entrepreneurs can find the perfect area in which to create a new product. It gives an overall picture of profitability using revenue, competition, reviews, listing quality all the way to how many variants and accessories niches have. We wanted the search engine functionality to suit all kinds of Amazon entrepreneurs so there are two ways to search: - Have an idea? Type in any keyword to see analysis for that self-defined niche - No idea? Search using advanced criteria to scan tens of thousands of opportunities Let us know what you think! šŸ’– Thanks to our Amazon seller friends who egged us on and helped us with beta testing.

Seems interesting, but the data pulled into some of your trending niches aren't related (or shouldn't be) to the niches. For instance, on your trending scroll I clicked on 'ID Document Holders' (https://amalytics.com/ksearch_re...). Yet only 3 of the top ten products could be considered related to that niche... I'd have better luck getting useful data from search Amazon using Alta Vista in 1997... or Bing in 2007, as the movie Idiocracy was number 1 on the list. So, how applicable is this data? And what is the $90 charge for, if it's not going towards methodology?

@joseph_santoro Thanks for your feedback, Joseph. Firstly, we don't decide what shows up in the results for 'ID Document Holders' - our results reflect exactly what shows in Amazon for that keyword search (when Amazon's tweaking based on preferences and cookies are removed). In that particular case it seems the URL is deformed, see here: https://amalytics.com/ksearch_re... - all relate to ID Document Holders. I'll run a test to make sure there aren't any other "&"s in the URLs. Please accept our apologies but if you are interested in the niche (or our methodology) please try the new link I've posted. Happy hunting!
