Alma notifies your emergency contacts if you miss your check-in, even if you can't call for help yourself. And with each check-in, you can also share a moment of your day, so connection doesn't only happen in emergencies.

The "share a moment" piece is a really sweet touch, it makes the app feel less like a safety drill and more like staying in touch. Set up my check-ins in under a minute and liked that it nudges you before anything alarming happens.
Love the dual purpose here, the daily photo share is such a sweet touch that makes check-ins feel less clinical. One thing I'd love to see is a customizable escalation window, like letting you set different time thresholds for weekends versus weekdays, since my Saturday mornings are way more relaxed than my Monday rush.
Really glad this exists, especially the daily photo piece which feels more human than most safety apps. One thing that would help: let me set different check-in windows for weekdays vs weekends, since my routine shifts a lot and a fixed daily time ends up triggering false alarms when I'm just out late on a Friday.
Honestly the idea of just sharing a little moment each check-in is kind of sweet, makes it feel less like a chore and more like a quick hello to the people who matter.
the "share a moment" feature is such a thoughtful touch, it turns a safety app into something you actually look forward to opening instead of just a last resort.
