Alea is a simple calisthenics dice app that helps you start moving without planning your workout. Roll the dice and get a random bodyweight exercise with a random rep target. You can also do 100-rep random workout sessions, track your history, build streaks, and see your lifetime stats. I built Alea for people who overthink training and need a low-friction way to move more. No ads. No subscriptions. No account required. Just roll and move.
Alea 1.3 : You don't need friends to duel anymore
Big update to Alea, the app that rolls dice to decide your workout.
The #1 thing people told me after launch: *"the duel feature looks fun but
nobody I know has the app."* Fair. So the whole release is about that.
π² Solo duels
Race your own past sessions β same exercises, same clock, your old time as the
opponent. Or take on one of four ghost rivals, from The Warm-Up (2:30) to The
Machine (10:00, you will lose). The duel loop finally works on day one instead
of requiring a friend to install first.
π₯ Streak insurance
One freeze per month. Miss a day and your streak survives. Losing a 20-day
chain to one bad Tuesday is exactly when people quit β that shouldn't be the
punishment for having a life.
β° Reminders that learn
It used to nag at 18:00 whether or not that meant anything to you. Now it
watches when you actually train and fires about an hour before.
βΏ Accessibility pass
Proper screen-reader labels throughout, bigger tap targets, contrast fixed.
This should have been there from day one.

The dumb thing I shipped and then fixed
Duel challenges went out as a nice-looking card image with a QR code on it. I
was pleased with that card.
Then someone pointed out you can't scan a QR code with the phone that's
displaying it. Which is... every single person receiving a challenge in
WhatsApp. The challenge was literally unusable for its main audience.
The card now travels with a tappable link. And if you install the app from
a challenge, it now opens directly on that duel instead of dumping you on a
blank home screen. Turns out the entire viral loop had a hole in it.

Free, no account, no ads, works with zero equipment.
Android only for now,
iOS isn't on the roadmap yet, sorry.
