Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Serhii, a solo developer from Ukraine. I built Alarmyx because I kept turning alarms off in my sleep. Not snoozing — actually dismissing them, with zero memory of doing it. Five alarms, still late. So I made an alarm that won't shut up until you prove you're awake: solve a math problem, type a captcha, or retype a phrase. By the time you're done, you are. Then I added the part I didn't expect people to care about most — it times how fast you dismissed it and puts you on a global leaderboard. Turns out waking up is a lot more motivating when strangers are beating you at it. Alarmyx has been on the App Store since August. The first users taught me two things fast: the built-in alarm sounds were awful (replaced them all), and people cared about the leaderboard way more than I expected. Version 1.0.6 shipped with a full redesign based on that feedback — so what you're seeing today is the second iteration, not the first draft. Built with React Native and native AlarmKit, so on iOS 26 the alarm fires even through silent mode and Focus. It's free. I'd love feedback on the quest difficulty — balancing "hard enough to wake you" against "impossible at 6am" is the part I keep tuning.
