Beta user here--and have to say this is the perfect tool for anyone who learned the "index card" outlining method in high school and went, "HOLY SHIT OF COURSE THIS IS HOW YOU DO THAT." But also, it's better than index cards because it's collaborative, easy to format, erasable without all those pesky eraser nubbies...I could go on.
Super excited about trying Airstory out. Looks like a sweet tool for my own work & a way to cut down on training time for subcontractors/new team members.
@kkdub oh, man, totally - it's not until i went into one of my projects in airstory and saw a bunch of helpful cards from other people on my team that i was like "okay, yeah, that's pretty cool." like little gifts waiting for you.
I love the use of modular content. Not too far from the topic-based authoring methodology we use in technical writing.
Lovely to read your journey as well - I know the feeling and empathise with your experience, but cheer that you've pushed such a great resource into our community. And yeah, I love this content tool community so much. Thanks for enduring!
@davedri thanks - i wish i could say that the foundation of airstory was a "topic-based authoring methodology" because it sounds so damn smart. :) thanks for the journey note, too! (further to this - https://copyhackers.com/2017/02/... - i assume.)
@copyhackers Once the peak comms of your Product Hunt launch dies down we should have a chat. I come from the engineer content services team at Red Hat originally, where I spun out our company, and we love to meet other content product teams :)
Congratulations! Awesome application of the card metaphor and with the Zapier integration this could quickly become a vital tool. Now if only I didn't write everything in a notebook...
@airjoshb thanks! and baby steps. :) even starting with the zapier integration and sending important emails to your card library in airstory could do the trick. automatically creating cards like that is way better than worrying about typing out cards and trying to break your pen-on-paper writing habit (which i fully appreciate - i've got about a thousand moleskines).
@copyhackers Great tips and agree on emails -> cards. I have created email parsing -> blog posts on websites for the same reason. I find my writing is far better when I write it longhand first.

@airjoshb i wish i had the skills and dedication to stick with writing longhand. instead i find myself writing a little in this notebook, a little in that one, a little on my desktop and on and on we go. but, hey, if you've got a process that works for you, cool on that! no problem to solve = no problem to solve. :)
Airstory is a new team writing platform that's launching today. It's made by the team behind Copy Hackers. Really excited to see the progress of this - I've worked with the team previously when we were all at Intuit.
