Hey Product Hunters!
Solo builder here, I designed, built, and shipped this entirely on my own, which was equal parts fun and chaotic. This is a personal side project of mine, separate from the usual work I do.
I built AirStatus after a ground stop at Manchester left me completely in the dark. The airline app just said "delayed," the airport screens showed nothing useful. No one explained that the entire airport was stopped due to ATC capacity. So I built the tool I wished existed.
A few honest caveats while it grows:
→ EU airports currently show placeholder data. I've applied for EUROCONTROL NM B2B API access and am waiting on approval. Once that's live, EU airports will show real ATFM delay data
→ US and UK are fully live via FAA NAS and NATS PIB feeds
What's coming next:
→ Email alerts for your airport (subscribe and get notified when a ground stop hits)
→ More SEO content, guides on ground stops, GDPs, passenger rights
→ Better global flight position coverage
→ More airports
If you have any feedback at all, features, missing airports, things that are confusing, please drop it below. I read every comment and this is the kind of project where real user input directly shapes what gets built next. The more brutal the feedback the better, I'm trying to make this genuinely useful.
