The idea started from a simple frustration: there are so many great books, but I rarely have enough time to finish them.
I kept wondering:
What if every book could become conversation and read aloud?
Instead of just reading, what if you could listen anywhere, ask questions, explore ideas, and understand books at your own pace?
That's why I built Readio—an AI reading companion that lets you listen to books, dive deeper into ideas, and get instant answers whenever you're curious.

If you could add one feature to make reading more enjoyable, what would it be?
Typed in a random topic and got a pretty solid book rec with a natural sounding script, all right in my browser without any install. Nice for background listening when I don't want to fiddle with an app.

the natural voice reading surprised me, way less robotic than i expected, and being able to just paste a topic and get a script is genuinely useful for long drives.
