Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Oscar, a solo developer . I built AI Frontier Daily to solve my own problem. The problem: I follow AI development closely. Every morning I'd open arXiv, HuggingFace, Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub Trending… 15 minutes in, 20 tabs open, and I still hadn't found the 3 things that actually mattered. I was drowning in AI news but starving for signal. The solution: I wrote a script that pulls from 6 sources every morning, sends everything to DeepSeek, and asks it to be a ruthless editor — pick only 5–8 items worth my time. Then email them to me at 8 AM. I ran it for myself for 2 weeks. A few friends asked to be added. Then a few more. That's when I realized this could be a product. The tech: • TypeScript + Node.js • DeepSeek API for AI curation • GitHub Actions for daily scheduling • Vercel + Resend for email delivery • Gumroad for payments • Total server cost: effectively $0/month What makes this different: Most AI newsletters are written by humans (slow, limited sources) or auto-aggregated (noisy). This uses an LLM as an actual editor — it reads, compares, and selects. It's closer to having a junior researcher than an RSS feed. What's next: • Personalized topic filters (agents? vision? dev tools? you pick) • Web archive of past digests • "Ask the digest" — reply and get AI answers about past coverage On pricing: $7.99 one time. No subscription. I built this with near-zero running costs so I can offer lifetime access without going broke. If it saves you 30 minutes of scrolling, it pays for itself in the first week.
