Hi everyone, I’m RJ, the maker of AI Chat Export. Thanks for checking this out today.
I built AI Chat Export because I constantly needed to turn long AI conversations into something clean and readable. I use ChatGPT for research summaries, long-form transcription, and technical documentation. Copying and pasting chats always felt messy and unreliable.
With AI Chat Export, you can paste a ChatGPT share link and instantly generate a clean PDF, TXT, or Markdown file. The goal is to make documenting and sharing AI conversations simple and consistent.
I’d love your feedback on formats, layouts, or workflows you’d like to see next.
How it works, under the hood:
You paste a ChatGPT share link into AI Chat Export
The app fetches and parses the conversation
It cleans up formatting and structure
You export it instantly as a PDF, TXT, or Markdown file
The app is built and hosted on Replit, which handles the backend, authentication, and PostgreSQL database behind the scenes. I focused on making the export flow fast, predictable, and clean rather than exposing technical complexity.
If you’re using AI chats for research, documentation, or client work, this removes the copy-paste mess entirely.
Here’s what I’m planning to build next based on early feedback:
Support for Claude and Grok conversations
More PDF layouts and formatting options
Batch exports
Automatic titles and metadata
Optional AI summaries inside exports
If you have specific use cases or feature requests, I’d love to hear them. This product is very much shaped by real-world workflows.
Quick update: We identified a breaking change in ChatGPT’s page structure that affected our importer (the selectors we relied on no longer match). I’m shipping a fix now.
If you try it today and it fails, please comment with your browser + OS and whether you’re importing via a direct ChatGPT link or an export file. I’ll prioritize those cases. Thanks for the patience.
