I’m Jeremy, and today I’m launching AgentLogistics, an open-source library of structured AI skills for commercial logistics and distribution work.
The project started from a straightforward problem: general-purpose AI knows a lot about logistics, but real logistics decisions depend on much more than generating a plausible answer.
Warehousing, inventory, fulfillment and transportation work involves evidence, calculations, operating constraints, system records, jurisdiction-specific requirements, safety boundaries, and approvals. An AI assistant needs to understand those boundaries if it is going to be genuinely useful to an operations team.
AgentLogistics turns that knowledge into reusable, bounded skill packages with defined procedures, evidence requirements, calculation checks, output contracts and review boundaries.
The current public preview includes:
📦 143 validated core logistics skills spanning warehousing, inventory, fulfillment, transportation, material handling, labor, systems, KPIs and continuous improvement
👷 14 professional skillsets for roles including warehouse operators, inventory specialists, logistics coordinators, planners, managers and systems analysts
🌎 42 specialization packages covering source-sensitive areas including Canada, the United States, food and cold-chain logistics, dangerous goods and international logistics
🧮 Structured calculations and workflows for tasks such as reorder points, inventory discrepancies, picking waves, freight-charge audits and operational analysis
🧪 Validation and evaluation tooling with deterministic scenarios, fixtures, routing expectations and automated repository checks
The project is MIT licensed and completely open source.
One design principle has been especially important: AI should support logistics decisions without pretending to hold the authority to make them.
AgentLogistics does not approve inventory adjustments, carrier commitments, compliance decisions, customs releases, equipment changes or other actions that require qualified operational or regulatory authority.
It is currently a public preview rather than a finished v1 release, with live-model evaluation and additional hardening still on the roadmap.
