Describe a part and a Claude agent models it in exact, parametric CAD. Click a face to refine it, tweak by hand with a Fusion-style ribbon, then export STEP or STL, make shop drawings or slice for 3D printing. Runs locally. Free for non-commercial use.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Mike, a solo developer in Australia, and AgenticCAD is the CAD tool I wanted: describe the part, then point at what you mean and just say what you want to change. Its awesome!
What it does:
• Describe it: "a 60×40×8 plate with a 24 mm boss and four M4 holes" and a Claude agent builds it as exact solid geometry (build123d on the OCCT kernel)
• Point at it: click any face or body and say "make this 2 mm thicker"
• Tweak it by hand: Fusion-style ribbon (press/pull, holes, fillet, chamfer, shell, sketches) and a Parameters panel. Every change lands in one readable Python script you own
• Exact output: STEP that keeps real cylinders, STL at the tolerance you choose, shop drawings with hole tables (SVG + DXF)
• Metric or imperial: ISO and UNC/UNF threads, involute gears, mm or inches
• 3D printing: one click slices with your installed OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio and previews every layer, with print time and filament
• Part library, STEP import, and an experimental CAM mode for GRBL routers
It runs on your own Mac or Windows PC; you bring Claude Code or an Anthropic API key. Free for personal, hobby, education and research use; commercial use is A$99 + tax per user per year.
I'd love to hear which parts it gets wrong and what you'd want next. There's a 75-second real session on the site, and in-browser tutorials if you want to see it before installing.
