Hi folks, my cofounder Mohammed and I are building Afterword, the best summarization app in existence!
We want to solve the anxiety and overload of engaging with new subjects, by building a visual way to surf and absorb information. With Afterword you can start charging through your reading list (we support Pocket imports) or your YouTube watch later list, with a simple UX so you can focus on understanding.
Managing knowledge is an old genre of software, and we could see that LLMs can be used to build a whole new class of KM apps. But we found that nothing like this existed or was even building in this direction.
We wanted something like this for ourselves. We’ve got loads of exciting, thought provoking features in the pipeline. Summarization is just the start.

@aneesh_arora I've used Afterword to research for interviews and to make bite-sized content from long panel discussions. Absolutely love it!

@aneesh_arora Afterword has been very time efficient in understanding the Gist of time-consuming materials.
@aneesh_arora Brilliant idea - summarization is one of the things LLMs do best, so why not create a product around it? Good luck with your launch!

@aneesh_arora Very good product, helps in grasping information quickly and briefly sums it up.Relief from watching lengthy videos now as information is available without any time indulgence.

💡 Bright idea
Looks interesting guys! Does it help in linking internally to build personal knowledge graphs? Future suggestions? What does the product roadmap look like?

@nimit_mehra1 Yes, something like that is in the pipeline. Although personal knowledge graphs are quite limited in their navigability and they become unusable once there is any amount of useful knowledge in them.
We have plans to 'break them out', so to speak.

Afterword has by far most flexible extension with precise length control which comes in handy during most use cases. Its fast and summarises in one click. Just what I wanted.
