**Building the Superhuman Engineer.** AfterMerge was born out of a problem we experienced firsthand as software engineers. As Engineers working on production systems, we realized that writing code is only a small part of software delivery. The real engineering effort begins after a pull request is raised reviewing changes, validating business impact, generating test scenarios, coordinating releases, monitoring production, debugging issues, and ensuring every deployment reaches users safely. These workflows are often fragmented across dozens of tools and require significant manual effort from developers, QA engineers, and SREs. They slow down releases, increase operational overhead, and pull engineers away from what they do best: building products. We initially built AfterMerge to solve this problem for ourselves. Today, we're building an AI-native engineering platform that automates the entire post-PR lifecycle—from QA planning and release validation to deployment intelligence, observability, incident investigation, and AI-assisted debugging. By understanding your codebase, infrastructure, and engineering context, AfterMerge helps teams ship faster, improve software reliability, and spend less time firefighting. @saurabh701 Congrats on the launch! 🎉 Tried this on a five-service LoopBack monorepo, and honestly I didn’t expect it to work — I assumed a codebase like that would be too messy for it to trace what breaks after a merge. It handled it well and surfaced flows I’d usually only find out about in staging. Really solid answer to a problem most teams just live with. Well done!

We launched AfterMerge 2 weeks ago. Here’s what we’re questioning already.

When we started building AfterMerge, we thought the obvious workflow was:

PR comes in AI reviews it team merges it.

But the more repositories and engineering workflows we look at, the more we think the bigger problem might not start with the PR.

A lot of important issues already exist in a codebase. They aren't raised in a PR. They sit quietly across services, modules, dependencies, and data flows until one day they become an incident.
