Hey Product Hunt! I'm Jason, a solo founder (and fractional CTO by day) who's also a sole trader with rental income - so I'm my own first customer here.
From April 2026, HMRC requires sole traders and landlords earning over £50k to file quarterly digital updates under Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. Every option I looked at either bundled in banking, VAT and full accounting features I'd never touch, or cost £150-£300/year for the privilege of ignoring them.
Affordable MTD does one job: get your quarterly updates and final declaration filed, simply. @nesbittweb Congratulations on the launch. I upvoted it because focusing on one specific problem often makes a product far more useful than trying to do everything. I'd be interested to know how your AI handles transactions that could reasonably fit into multiple HMRC categories before submission.
