I use AdGuard for Safari on both my desktop and smartphone (paid version) every day, and have been doing so for years. Since I started using it, browsing the web has become much, much easier. The only downside is that they haven't been able to implement an effective pop-up blocker that's better than the one offered by Safari. I hope this can be done in the future!

I think I bought this on sale a few years ago and have used it since. I have always been happy with it; it just works. You have lots of options to customise it to your needs, including subscribing to various block lists to improve ad blocking. I have even started using the AdGuard DNS servers recently.

AdGuard is less resource intensive than any browser extension, and applies the same rules consistently across the OS (be it MacOS or Windows) in multiple browsers and other applications, if desired. I also love the fact it supports userscripts without the need for any browser extensions.
